Blog Review 12

Not much happening on the blogs today. Here’s a few that did stand out.

• Blamerbell looks at what has Tony Blair has done for Wales as well as a humorous look at an Assembly football line up.
• Vaughan Roderick reports on the morning conferences held by Plaid, Labour and the Tories.

Blog of the Week: 1

This is the first blog featured in the Blog of the Week series.

The choice of blog covered is done randomly and I am hoping to cover most of if not all of the blog on my blog roll over the coming weeks and months.

First up is Ceredig. This is a new blog running since the start of June and so is still in its infancy with only 10 posts. (At the point of writing).

I have been very impressed with the way the blog has started compiling some detailed comments on the issues of coalitions. It is certainly a welcome addition to the Welsh blog scene and I am looking forward to further blogging. (Even if Ceredig has yet to add me to his blog roll!!!)

As you can imagine the blogsphere has been dominated by the Plaid Conference and the Lib Dems recent movements.

• Betsan Powys reports the goings on at Plaid’s National Exec meeting in Aberystwyth and rumours that a Red-Green deal is too good to refuse.
• Alun Cairns notes the desperation of the Lib Dems and turmoil within the Labour party.
• Bethan Jenkins gives the view of a Plaid AM on the Aber conference and warns against Mike German’s ability to deliver his party’s backing for a deal with Labour.

Blog of the Week

There are some very interesting and thought provoking blogs about at the moment. Irrespective of your own personal politics there are some very interesting and constructive debates that are maybe not getting the recognition they deserve.

Part of the aim of this web log, aside from keeping regular round ups of the blog debates, is to promote all blogs in the welsh political blogsphere. As it stands the debate is concentrated on a few select blogs, which is fantastic. The success of Blamerbells is undoubtedly as a result of the vibrant comments section he has.

In an attempt to promote comment on other blogs I am going to run a weekly feature highlighting individual blogs. Sometimes it will be those blogs that maybe don’t get the credit they deserve, sometimes the big hitters that deserve to be recognised and sometimes a blog that has caused a stir with some interesting posting.

I will begin next week.

Hopefully people will find this constructive. Obviously normal blogging reviews will continue.

Back in buisness

Dear all,

I am back up and running! Apologies for the absence! As you will note I have added a number of new links. I have now referenced the blogs without tagging them politically after a number of people were pigeon holed incorrectly! (Maybe I am not as politically astute as I once thought!)

I have no longer referenced renewed labour or chanticleer as they are no longer with us in the blogsphere. Good luck to them in pastures new.
